Spring brings lots of changes and chances are, you are on a roll spring cleaning. You may be in areas of your home you haven't been in all winter, (unless you're one of those lucky ducks that lives in year-round warm climate!) like your garden tool area, or your grilling supplies. A great opportunity to declutter, sort, edit, reset and enjoy your home. Here are a few items to declutter today to get you started. Garden ToolsDo you have tools that are broken, duplicate tools, or tools that you just never use? Declutter them and free up that space in your garage or garden shed! Tip* Duplicate tools can be donated to community gardens or schools that are running gardening projects for the kiddos. Hobby ItemsAre you holding onto items for a hobby you imagined you would do one day? Maybe you have a guitar you never learned to play. Maybe you purchased yarn & knitting needles because you wanted to start knitting, but then you never actually did. Time to be honest, and ask yourself if you’ll actually ever use these items. If not, you guessed it! on the donation pile they go. SpicesWith seasonal cleaning, most of us take time to clean out the fridge, panty and freezer, the spice rack seems to often be missed. Go through your rack and declutter any dried out spices, spices you neve use, and expired ones. Tip* Ground spices are good for 2-3 years. Whole spices good for 3-4 years. Seasoning blends good for 1-2 years. Clothing That Doesn't make you feel greatHave you tried something on lately, and knew without even looking in the mirror, that you could absolutely not wear it. It has to go, your clothing and your closet should only make feel like the fabulous person you are. Winter AccessoriesIt may seem odd to tackle your out of season accessories, but if you are like me, you need to make room in your coat closet for spring/summer accessories like hats, sunblock, and flipflops. AND you have littles that have grown out of winter hats or gloves There are so many areas of your home that can use a quick bit of TLC.
